Started my New Year listening to Lou Reed, live Dusseldorf in 2000. An incredible set, with lots of songs from the Ecstasy album, and Lou's guitar playing is outrageous. It was a great way to leave 2025 behind. Love, peace and good tidings to everyone in the year ahead!

I read a bit of Kennedy's book on Fauci. It was preposterous, full of snark about scientists who dare embrace germ theory (he's into miasma theory). But it's always mealy-mouthed, with quick sleight-of-hand sentences thrown in to ensure that if challenged he can later deny saying what he just said.

Wow - yesterday's Union Pool show was great. A fantastic, listening audience helped me play as well as I can. Feeling connection, in these messed-up times, means a lot. Knowing it's still possible keeps me going.
