Regardless of Carney's romantic nationalism this is the reality of Canada.

A racist, sexist, extreme right-winger successfully ran a campaign & was elected, despite Canadians knowing exactly who he is (or because it's exactly what they want).

Nearly 50% of the popular vote is for people like him.
