A stainless steel stand mixer, mixing bowl and mixing whisk. On the whisk and in the bowl is a lovely light tan fluffy substance.

I’m working on a bar recipe. There is little so satisfying as a well creamed butter, sugar, egg mixture. I just love to see it hit the soft fluffy stage before you add the dry stuff.

I am just catching up on this thread. I would think some form of Italian pork. Pancetta, guanciale, prosciutto would all work for a fine dice to add the flavor in lesser amounts. If you don’t add sausage I would consider adding crushed red pepper and fennel seeds for the flavor they impart.

Things that improve a day: a spritz and some cheese with bread. I have simple needs.

Yesterday we made polenta and smacafam. Today spritz and cheese nibbles.

I would say we’re celebrating the Olympics but we are just very fond of northern Italy all the time.
