Operation Epic Fury should be the name of an operation planned by a drunk American β€œSecretary of War” in a parody movie about the start of world war three but no here we are living it because a bunch of stupid men, some ungodly rich, thought the internet was stopping them from using enough slurs.

My shift is over here in an hour and it's my wife's birthday today.

I'm going to have a crown and coke and clean the house while trying not to scream so loud I wake my family.

Very clearly we need to add 'abolish the office of the presidency' to our list of things to get done.

People keep telling me impeachment isn’t possible but *Donald Trump* is the fucking president for a second time and he just launched a war in a fucking baseball hat so in fact anything and everything are *possible*

Don’t much like living in a world where the law is suspended indefinitely so the FΓΌhrer can make unrestricted war on his racial enemies

I want to get off Mr. Schmitt’s Wild Ride

Most likely scenario imo: We see a redo of the US air campaign against the Houthis for the next several weeks. Lots of senior folks killed. Lots of infrastructure destroyed. Lots of civilians murdered. But likely not a major shift in who's ruling in Tehran before the US seeks a deal.

Living in a world where wsrs of aggression become an accepted commonplace is... not something we want.

It is bad.

and i'm sure ppl will say, sure, but presidents have used force without congressional authorization for decades. and yeah, that's true. but nothing like this. not even the pretext of a legal argument, the motion of seeking public & congressional support. we are so far beyond norms.

28.02.2026 09:03 β€” πŸ‘ 70    πŸ” 15    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

for those fixated on congressional authorization, i get it. this is a massive violation of our constitutional order.

even so, congress *cannot* legitimize an illegal war. there is nothing congress can do to make it legal under int'l law.

caveat of it's all dependent on what grandpa's cottage cheese brain decides on any given day, this is a good read of what will likely happen if things play out on the current path

there's no more viable ToV here than there was with the Houthis

Honestly? I think it's a form of punishment. Playing this way feels like refusing to engage with the game mechanics earnestly and so, because I am a damnably earnest fellow, I simply refuse to take full advantage of the maximum pool.

Each boss is just flask, crab, fight.

So I have thrown all sense of dignity and valor to the winds and am doing my best to push the maximum hit point threshold.

Damage-wise, I am using the Longhaft Axe (tons of hyper armor) with Prayerful Strike to take full advantage of all the hayche-pee.

Strength based, minimal buffs.

I am just an impossible nerd. This is Admiral Ackbar, giving his famous "It's a Trap!" line, only I change it to "It's a Trip!!!" because I am, forever, a dorky twelve year old.

I will take you at your word, and I'm using this most recent playthrough to, ah, compensate for my general lack of skill.

I definitely intend to take my time once I get there.

I am still gob-smacked at how incredible the base game looks. I haven't really started in on the DLC yet because of general suckitude, but it's nice to know they cranked it to 11.

Take it over how? With what? Will they kill Pezeshkian? Ghalibaf? Larijani?

This is no regime change promise, its abdication of responsibility to a people who were just mass butchered. "You go and do it. If you fail, well tough luck"

but why not both, I guess? like congress either has the ability to stop the president from committing supreme international crimes in the dead of night or it does not

that top DOD officials spent the entire day feuding with a tech company and the boy scouts before launching a war in the middle of the night should probably inform your opinion about how well planned and executed this will be

the US once again sending the message loud and clear: never negotiate, just get nukes. Never compromise, just get nukes. Never give in to sanctions, just get nukes.
