Is it possible that you engaged with the game in a way that was boring?

I had some exceptional moments with the game that were wholly interactive with my own hubris.

On replay I chose different stats and was locked out of some of these moments. Something a novel or installation can't provide.

Fellow face-eater: I'm filling my brain with post-it notes to chew slower and keep my lips out of it. Mild success so far.

Doing better with a similar problem where I step on my ankle instead of my heel (impossible to do if I remember to point my toes outwards).

In JoJos, everyone is a chad with a specific superpower that gets used in increasingly creative ways.

I think MBs best innovations are reducing many things to 1 roll and a join-the-dots approach to prep.

Time skips aren't easy to use if your sessions are short. We may finally try one next time.

I've ran it for 7 sessions. It's very good, but it can't do what The One Ring RPG does and it's not MtG adjacent like D&D or Daggerheart. And its Fatigue rolls suck (they don't build story like its other rolls).

i used to post this on facebook over and over and whenever someone hazarded a guess i'd respond "could be any" or "could be all" and it always got so many interactions that it was at the top of everyone's feed all day every day

Was really hoping for a 2nd character called Fragile in Death Stranding 2. (And they'd've played it straight like she meant that the whole time in the first game.)

I remember 64C being relevant for killing bacteria, 4C puts them to sleep, 82C steralizes (relevant for cleaning stuff). I've no idea how that works in Fahrenheit.

It's like if meta-progress was the only fun thing, not the loop, just the progress. The loop is dry as dust.

And triggering meta-progress is down to luck. (I'm aware the game is one big knowledge check, but getting the knowledge is also tediously luck based.)

After seeing the Alien: Earth trailer I'm wondering if one of the writers owns a copy of Rifts: Atlantis.

Granted, the word "play" is intended to mean taking action of no consequence.

But inaction itself is consequential.

It's a fruitful garden for growing Zen koans. I would caution that koans aren't meant to have an answer. Explaining their nature robs them of their power to enlighten.
