Re-read SUPERMAN FOR ALL SEASONS for the first time in a long time. Now I'm re-reading SECRET IDENTITY.

Might try to finally get my hands on BIRTHRIGHT. I find it really interesting that all the most iconic evergreen Supes stories are about his beginnings or ending, rather than his adventures.

I never really think about Superman... until a new piece of Superman media comes out, and then I feel like the biggest Superman fan in the world with the only correct opinion.

Decided to give Jack Ketchum a try this year to see if I have a taste for splatterpunk.

Based on the descriptions of other books in the subgenre, I still dunno if I like splatterpunk... but 5 novels and an anthology later, I apparently like Jack Ketchum very, very much.

I’m so sad to learn that the world has lost the immense talent that was Peter David. I worked with him just a bit in the beginning of my Marvel career, on X-Factor and on my one issue of “Incredible Hulk”. He was wry, and funny and had a brilliant imagination.

RIP, Peter.

Many, many factors and influences contributed to me becoming a comic book writer/writer in general... but Peter David is the reason I learned that comic books had writers.

RIP, sir. Thank you for the stories.
