Losing someone close to you is never easy regardless of the circumstances. Reminding myself to allow the grief, the sadness, but also the laughter.

Having to shift my focus from patient advocate for myself to co-caregiver of my mother-in-law with my husband. Thankful to give back to the woman who gave me my husband. 🥰

Christmas with family Part 1 yesterday. I’m tired! Part 2 on Saturday. Wish me luck!

I work in a germ factory (elementary school) and my awesome students shared their colds. Cough/congestion for over a month. Needs to go away. #realpeoplesick

Went to the doctor yesterday. Sinus infection. Started meds last night. Hope to finally kick this thing. #realpersonsick

When you’re sick and tired of taking your meds, but you have to take them because you’re sick and want to stay alive… you say “I hate you” to every one of them and feel lighter… for a while. #chronicillness

Neurologist appointment today. Brain is still present. Still a jerk. New neurologist next year. Happy retirement, doc!

Teaching first graders the week of Thanksgiving and talking about thankfulness can get hilarious. I’ll report back later…
