I was thrilled to share the stage tonight with my friends Mark Warner & Tim Kaine.

The energy tonight was incredible — it's the energy I feel all over the Commonwealth, and the same energy that will take us across the finish line in less than 48 hours.

It’s reaaaaallllllly important that the pope is speaking out on this. These people aren’t Catholic by any true measure and it’s abhorrent to see them attempt to be the face of a faith they do not understand nor believe.

One of the main things about not strongly & immediately opposing fascism is that normalizing it creates a permission structure for antisemites (racists, xenophobes, misogynists, etc.) to say & do the things they’ve always thought but were once too embarrassed to say & do in public. And here we are.

Seems obvious, but some people need a reminder: Elections are intended to be a pain in the ass to those in power. Despite the lip service they give democracy, those in authority are actually very comfortable with you not voting.

This is precisely why the Virginia Attorney General’s race will be consequential.

If Republican Jason Miyares is re-elected, he will fight AGAINST new Democratic maps…and fight FOR Donald Trump.

I hope all Virginia Democrats think long and hard about this when they cast their ballots.

Things are bleak and sad and awful but there are also really beautiful moments and people and connection out there. It's me, feeling lucky enough to still feel it all even when I'd like to fast forward past the bad/sad/hard bits.

lol i will never forget when i worked for political consultants and someone higher up told me to stop trying to push for a social media strategy for their clients (dem politicians) because they did not know how to make any money off of it so why would they advise them to do it.

(part of this is that the consultants have been uninterested in actually making sure they reach voters unless they can figure out what their fee is first)

The overarching theme of Trump 2.0 is that reality doesn't exists, that the material world is simply fodder for Posts, and that if something gets attention and retweets the people trying to stop you are irrelevant scolds. And they're going to extend that principle to actual war on a foreign nation
