17.02.2026 18:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Continues to be infuriating that the TTC digital screens do not show "Normal Service" when a line has scheduled closures.
All day today, Line 1 and 2 show disrupted at every station in Toronto. Been notifying the TTC for months.

Cineplex, if you aren't going to the big 3 theatres DT, hard to find anything not a blockbuster.
TIFF wants you to know that it played at the festival 13 months ago.
Still think they could have the streetcars not enter Union and continue across the Quay. Convert the tunnel into a walkway like Billy Bishop.
Could incorporate expansions of the ferry terminal, manage Union foot traffic and create a safe Gardiner underpass as part of Harbourfront revitalization.
I live in the area. Every day I walk by, there are at least 5-10 people taking photos of it from every angle.
Sucks that they have to fix the inside now, but the new dino area is great. ROM has a wealth of issues, the Crystal is no longer one of them.
Toronto's hottest club is Soundstream's celebration of Arvo PΓ€rt with the Estonian Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. 1400 packed into a church.
Why would you take this away from humanity and give it to robots?
Why am I watching two post-war Japanese films on a cold February night? I'm working my way through 1000 of the "best" films of all time, in chronological orderπππ

12.02.2026 13:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is exactly how I perceive Councilor Saxe's green ideologies in Toronto. A healthy planet with the people WE want to be around.

Community Centres. Build a city people want to live and play in.
Councillor Bravo has a VERY interesting motion. She wants the police to report on how much the Toronto Police have saved via moves like the establishment of the community crisis service and the transfer of the crossing guard program from the cops to city hall.
10.02.2026 21:17 β π 35 π 5 π¬ 1 π 1Current map of Eglinton Avenue interchange on the Don Valley Parkway
Proposed completed cloverleaf at Eglinton Avenue interchange on Don Valley Parkway with arrows showing traffic directions on interchange. A new loop on the southwest corner would take southbound DVP traffic onto eastbound Eglinton Avenue without a left turn across the Line 5 corridor at Aga Khan Park&Museum station. A new northeast loop would take northbound DVP traffic onto the westbound Eglinton Avenue without a left turn across Line 5 west of Wynford Station.
Thereβs a small investment that the province could make as part of uploading the DVP that could improve traffic for drivers merging on/off the DVP and remove conflicts for the light rail: add the missing two clover leaf loops. Eventually add pedestrian over/under-passes to segregate past Wynford.

A fully independent audit, focused on modernization, should occur before any budget increases.
Let's not forget that Saxe is trying to designate entire neighborhoods as "heritage" to block density; sending out petitions as a concerned neighbors. Too bad she doesn't live there!
She has also sided with business owners and wealthy citizens in delaying full rollout of rapid bus lanes.
@diannesaxe.bsky.social could stop helping neighborhood groups block city projects, causing costly delays.
