Mocking regional or working class accents is so annoying. We can mock our own, but others may not.

Although, annoyingly, the Hugh Grant stereotype of the British accent is being superseded by the bo'le o' wa'er stereotype which is upsetting.

I think my favourite version of this is the meme romanticising the British accent then it's followed with Big John going "who wants a FACKIN' burger?!"

Bringing my Twitter tradition of not posting very often over to Bluesky.

I use it a lot for parkrun - checking local events are still running in bad weather etc. But parkrun skews older like I imagine Facebook does too, so that might explain it.
