Alex Bregman to Chicago just got a lot more real. He wants 200+ million in a contract, shedding the salary of Bellinger allows the Cubs to do that.

162 different players tallied 100+ hits in 2024. This is the second time in three years that exactly 162 different players got to 100 hits in a season.
The countdown begins… only 100 days til the next 162 game campaign begins.

Christian Walker
Paul Goldschmidt
Christian Walker vs. Paul Goldschmidt in 2024. The bat speed for Goldschmidt is obviously a concern, but so is the chase rate. It was up 3% from 2023 while Walker improved almost 2% from 2023.
Anyone looking for a first baseman should be calling on Walker 10 times before calling on Goldschmidt.

This should be Christian Walker and no one else. Paul Goldschmidt would be a hilarious Yankees move and so on par for something they would do.
