The Cowley Low Traffic Neighbourhoods have saved 30 collisions over 3 years within the LTNs and boundary roads according to latest casualty data, analysed by @cohsat.bsky.social
The Cowley LTNs were implemented in April 2021, after sporadic coronavirus lockdowns between March 2020 and March 2021.

It’s the end of an era! My favourite ever local politician resigned this week - the indomitable @mikehakata.bsky.social is off to pastures new.
I’ve been inundated with messages from people all over the country expressing their shock/disappointment with the news.

The cost of NOT making it safe is huge: safe cycling saves people money to spend locally – yet car storage on Green Lanes seems to be more important.

For reference, @ippr.org said "£35 per head per year for a decade is needed to deliver walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure" so even the best funded places are getting under one-fifth what they need.
