The first measles death in the US in a decade -- the tragic, preventable death of a child whose parents chose not to protect them with vaccination -- should spark an immediate nation-wide campaign to ensure all children are protected against preventable diseases. Anything less is unconscionable.

These mistakes are so predictable when you put a bunch of 20 year old kids in charge--who have no actual experience using and analyzing government data, administrative data, or survey data. We all learned the hard way, but unlike these numbskulls, we weren't in a position to crash the economy.

For heaven’s sake if media fails to understand the contours of the First Amendment, we are left with “the Constitution according to Elon,”annotated w/100 tweets a day to 200 million people worldwide. The entire premise of Elon’s heroic status is ignorance. Just like his anti-fraud crusade.

Last night @60minutes.bsky.social opened an otherwise superb segment on Germany’s approach to online hate speech by saying “in the U.S., most of what’s said on online [social media] platforms is protected by the First Amendment.”
No.The First Amend protects us against GOVT infringements on speech.

Today, we at Google have a new product: what if you could could ask an app a question? Oh, we do that already? Well, what if we were a little bit worse at it? What if we also sometimes gave you egregiously wrong information? And what if it cost a billion dollars? Still not interested? It's mandatory

Octavia Butler’s ‘Kindred’ is on this list (which I haven’t read yet). RN I’m re-reading ‘Parable of the Sower’. Butler sounds more prophetic each day that goes by…

Costco, which has come out saying it supports DEI, will make no changes to its existing programs, AND pays workers a minimum of $30/hour, is up 15% YTD.

Target, which announced it is ending all DEI programs and has a minimum wage of $15-$24/hour, is down over 4%.

Keep voting with your wallet.

Operation ICE Ride-Along isn’t going as planned. 🔥

Fox News tagged along with ICE, hoping for an exclusive look at “dangerous criminals.” Instead, they got a whole lot of nothing. No threats, no big arrests—just a community that wasn’t having it. The narrative is falling apart.
