Ben can move to Canada, we are desperate for qualified nurses.
In fact many provinces have special immigration streams for healthcare professionals.

I knit, I bake, I read, I run. (contexo, coquo, lego, curro) English in Canada and Lefty in the tweedy Bennite sense. Deliberately dull. Deliberately kind. Deliberately anti fascist. Radio fan and Archers addict, maker of pretty decent curries.

Anyone remember former thesbian and knitwear model Lawrence "Call me Larry love" Lovell and Sean Meyerson, captain of the cricket team, landlord of the Cat and Fiddle and only gay in the village #theArchers
I think they have been watching old episodes of Dynasty
04.08.2025 14:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I completely agree, but I think there is no way that Brian will hand over the farm to Adam, and Kate isn't interested in anything but herself, so Alice will be the compromise, because she will take advice from Adam and Stella.

Brians war with Justin and hypocrisy re food production/letting the BL wheat rot, combined with his current anger outbursts will spur on an Adam lead ("He's losing it, we'll lose everything") family coup, leading to Alice taking over Home farm, to Adams dismay - shenanigans
Two middle aged white guys in baseball caps look at the camera while walking dogs (not seen) in the forest on a trail.

02.08.2025 17:22 β π 6 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Nice to be back at #parkrun after missing last week to run Nasty Nuttby.
Even nicer is that the heat and humidity have dropped considerably, which lately has made running a chore rather than fun. Time is improving, avg pace is better week in week, and I think I will have a new PR by years end.
You see, I own 51% of Colbyco, and if the board doesn't like my plans, they are free to resign.

A skill I know I used to have from many years hiking in the Lake District and Isle of Man as a youngling, however, I'm confident that it's now rusty to the point of lost now.

Trail on the edge of a ravine. Sunshine through the trees. Wooden guard railed fence on the right of picture.
Barriers to stop vehicles entering at the trail head. Signpost and trees. Sunshine through the trees creating "dappled shade".
Old white guy with beard in passenger seat and a golden and black dog in the back seat of a vehicle. The man is smiling, the black dog has her tongue lolling out of her mouth.
Shade in the foreground, sunshine in the distances on a gravel path. Gates and a car can be seen in the distance. Sunny day. Grass on one side and trees a little further back. Trees on the right hand side of the trail.
We checked out a nice easy trail for one of our next events this morning. Looking forward to #hiking this trail with friends.

Why are LGBTQ+ people more likely to be lonely? LGBTQ+ people are more likely to be lonely than cis-het people. This loneliness can stem from a variety of factors: weβre more likely to be disconnected from our families, or have problems finding other people like us who we can connect with.. LGBTQ+ people are also more likely to face discrimination due to their sexual orientation and/or gender identity, which can lead to feelings of isolation and difficulties getting close to other people. Older LGBTQ+ people may experience heightened loneliness and feelings of disconnection from a queer community thatβs increasingly centered around young folks. That is, older queer folks may no longer want to go to LGBTQ+ clubs, bars, pubs, etc., but find themselves unable to find a replacement community where they can connect with their peers.

According to the World Health Organization, loneliness is linked to approximately 100 deaths every hour. UK charity, LGBTHero identifies loneliness as more acute in the queer community. We want to help reduce #loneliness in the #LGBTQ community and bring more #QueerJoy from being active and outside!

I am so very proud of my husband who took on his cancer diagnosis with a positivity that I know I could never match.
His commitment to supporting other men with prostate cancer is inspirational. If you can spare a few dollars, consider helping him help the Canadian Cancer Society to help others.
Ugh, I meant definitely, not defiantly.
That said my commitment to rerun this while feeling a distinct runners high may be in defiance of common sense.
Today I ran the Nasty Nuttby 5k #run, over 200m of vert in hot sun. Absolutely bloody brilliant, I am defiantly doing that again next year. First in my age category and a 35:50 time, which was a lot faster than I expected.
I missed #parkrun for it, but I don't regret it.
I am sick to my back teeth of constant Amber, it feels around about the same time I got sick of constant Rochelle
She is clearly the Rochelle (disruptor) replacement and I can't wait for this storyline to play out and they can roll in the new annoying character to rock Ambridge.
