I’ve written up some reflections on my first session in Albany — how I approached the work, successes, and disappointments.

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

Allentown grandfather’s family was told he died in ICE custody. Then they learned he’s alive — in a hospital in Guatemala, they say Family of Allentown grandfather Luis Leon, 82, said they were headed to a Guatemala hospital to reunite with him after he was taken into custody at a Philadelphia immigration office and disappeared…

This 82-year-old grandfather was living a quiet life. Granted political asylum from Pinochet in 1987, he was disappeared by ICE when he went to replaced a lost green card.

This is what is happening in America right now. We all need to wake the f up.

N.Y. Legislature clears AG-backed consumer protection bill The bill cleared the Senate last week.

Deeply proud to pass the FAIR Business Practices Act last night. There was mighty lobbying power aimed at killing the bill, but public interest prevailed. If signed into law, @newyorkstateag.bsky.social will get more powerful tools to protect New Yorkers from corporate misconduct.

Thanks to Senator Leroy Comrie and Assemblymember @micahlasher.bsky.social for sponsoring this legislation, and to the entire legislature for taking action at a time when the federal government is abandoning its responsibility to protect consumers and small businesses.

The FAIR Business Practices Act, our legislation to protect working families and small businesses from predatory lenders, abusive debt collectors, scams, and more, has passed the New York legislature.

We need this bill to protect small businesses and working families from unfair and abusive business practices.

New York bill targets free legal work pledged to Trump Democratic New York state lawmakers have introduced legislation that would bar law firms in the state from requiring employees to do free legal work performed as part of an agreement the firm made with the Trump administration.

"Disgraceful."

That's what a White House spokesman is calling my bill with @bradhoylmansigal.bsky.social to fight back against Donald Trump's coercion of major law firms.

I guess we're on the right track.
