Remarkably Turkey is spending about 3 times as much on Russian fossil fuels compared to the sum of the EU, so it looks like a lot is whitewashed there.

It’s popular to name the EU as the responsible entity when bad things are happening, while when there is good news, only the individual countries are named most of the time.

As far as I know there is mostly a painful silence but no active EU support, and the media here is very negative about Vučić.
I only heard about the US /Donald Trump Jr. expressing their (bought) support.

Yeah, but then Russia can choose in which areas they fight, while being safe from attacks on other fronts with “only regular Russian soldiers respecting the ceasefire”. The “rebel” supply lines would also be untouchable.

However who is involved in peace talks and the resulting security guarantees should be a decision of the Ukrainian government only. Other countries that act like they are in control and can push decisions should be ignored.
