So he just confirmed Russia is at war with Ukraine since hundreds of Russian planes have been shot down over Ukrainian airspace in the last years. Will he have to go to prison like the other Russians that called this a war, or is this now finally their official position ?

Sadly something shady is recently happening with LNG imports, where the German company SEFE seems to have found a โ€œbackdoorโ€ to the sanctions by importing LNG through terminals in neighbouring countries where for some reason sanctions are not (yet) applied on transit gas : www.duh.de/fileadmin/us...

August 2025 โ€” Monthly analysis of Russian fossil fuel exports and sanctions โ€“ Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air

100% of the oil and pipeline gas โ€œimported in the EUโ€œ is currently bought by Hungary and Slovakia. (energyandcleanair.org/august-2025-...)

Remarkably Turkey is spending about 3 times as much on Russian fossil fuels compared to the sum of the EU, so it looks like a lot is whitewashed there.

Itโ€™s popular to name the EU as the responsible entity when bad things are happening, while when there is good news, only the individual countries are named most of the time.

So as I believe the best way to put pressure on those responsible is to name them, here is the breakdown:

The strange saga of RCGS Resolute - CRYOPOLITICS A story about things that go bump in the Venezuelan night, or how a bankrupt Canadian polar cruise company got tangled up in a trans-Atlantic geopolitical spat.

I have the feeling the outrage against the EU is pushed by Russian propaganda to divide us, similar as the protests against the lithium mining was not looking โ€œgrassrootsโ€ www.youtube.com/watch?v=of_A...

To be honest, this does not read as active support, certainly as she is pushing for reforms in an earlier tweet x.com/MartaKosEU/s... , and already asked for an investigation in the violence against protesters : ec.europa.eu/commission/p...

As far as I know there is mostly a painful silence but no active EU support, and the media here is very negative about Vuฤiฤ‡.
I only heard about the US /Donald Trump Jr. expressing their (bought) support.
If the EU is actively supporting him, can you elaborate who/how?

Yeah, but then Russia can choose in which areas they fight, while being safe from attacks on other fronts with โ€œonly regular Russian soldiers respecting the ceasefireโ€. The โ€œrebelโ€ supply lines would also be untouchable.

And why would anyone give this initiative to Russia and its Orange puppet gang? The last years should have proven to anyone that treating them like proper adults only makes things worse.

Great they are offering their diplomacy and military support!
However who is involved in peace talks and the resulting security guarantees should be a decision of the Ukrainian government only. Other countries that act like they are in control and can push decisions should be ignored.

Arenโ€™t English and Chinese the only languages that makes that difference and use separate words?

In Russian the ะพะฑะตะทัŒัะฝะฐ from the article is both.

I guess the translate app should have used โ€œsimianโ€ as a translation that wonโ€™t upset sensitive users?
