Rachel Zegler did nothing wrong. Fight me IDGAF.

I have to say, the new Snow White isn’t terrible, but… it is every moment that Gal Gadot is on screen. For all that “controversies” have been centered on Rachel Zegler for some reason, Rachel really was the best part of it. Gal’s performance was Razzie bad though.

My #1 toxic trait is saying “it was reduced by one-tenth?” every time someone uses the word “decimate.”

If your complaint about modern movies is that there’s “nothing original anymore,” I encourage you to check out Black Bag. Or Novocaine. Or Opus. All new entirely original movies that dropped this weekend. Put your money where your mouth

Gotta love journalism standards

The “Demi losing to Mikey is the exact plot of The Substance” takes are almost as annoying as the “Ryan Gosling getting in but not Margot Robbie is the exact plot of Barbie” takes, which are almost as annoying as people who say “this is just like in Harry Potter” for every world event.

I watched the Oscars. Guess I lose my “above it all” street cred.

I’m reading Axiom’s End by Lindsay Ellis and feeling depressed because it’s set in 2007 and the main character just filled her gas tank for $20 and got a burger (*and* shake) at In n Out for $5.

I miss the pre-recession economy and wish I was old enough to have the proper appreciation for it.

Me talking about Lord of the Rings, theatre, performing, politics, etc: “I hope people don’t think this is all there is to me.”

Me talking about Buffy the Vampire Slayer: “I want everyone to know that this show was formative for me and is in fact the entire basis of my personality.”

Tonight was a night for revisiting Buffy S5. Revisiting Buffy always gives me warm feelings. Dawn was such a special part of this show, and as a “youngest sibling” I could always relate. Michelle Trachtenberg gave such a wonderfully relatable performance. Absolutely gutted.

Devastated to hear about Michelle Trachtenberg. I had been wondering about her health for a while. This news hit me like a freight train.

Watching some Buffy tonight in her honor.

While I can’t seem to escape really annoying posts about the comic book movie on Threads, I just have to say that the new Bridget Jones movie is a really great time! I fully support Hugh Grant embracing his hilarious degenerate era.

I shouldn’t have to specify this, but here we are. If I’m critical of a comic book (or video game) movie, it is 100% never because I’m comparing it to Citizen Kane. I’m always comparing them to other movies in their genre. FFS.

Most of my enthusiasm surrounding Rings of Power Season 3 being on its way is that the worst people you know are about to be BIG MAD about it.
