I watched a GBH eat several sea turtle hatchlings by "spawn camping" the nest. Every so often the sand would move a bit and the heron would spear one of the hatchlings and catch it before it could even see sunlight for the first time. Nature is metal.

The amount of radioactive material that has fallen to the earth in the form of satellites is so small compared to the Pacific Ocean that it has no impact on the safety of any kind of seafood. That said, don't eat Pacific bluefin tuna, it's endangered!

Male and female as we consider them require multicellular life, so this makes some kind of sense, but I suspect we will never know enought about the evolutionary development of eukaryotes in deep time to make this claim definitively
