12.11.2025 21:43 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0"TrΓ‘nsito en Espiral" by Remedios Varo depicts an intricate, dreamlike city featuring winding paths that swirl around a central tower, evoking a sense of mystical journey and transformation. The architecture combines Gothic and surreal elements, reflecting Varoβs distinctive style influenced by her interests in alchemy and esotericism.

05.11.2025 04:07 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, that's what I've been doing for Palestine and Congo when i can afford it, mostly Doctors Without Borders and World Kitchen, and occasionally individual donations, and supporting direct action here as so many of these conflicts start with, or are supported by capital interests here

04.11.2025 22:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The SAF are massacring every village that's not Arab right now? They are the ones doing that?
04.11.2025 21:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's not about defending a dictatorship, i never said it was, it was about not equating the ongoing genocide with past crimes because a) the genocide is obviously different, and b) that is going to be utilized to further justify more violence as it has a hundred times before.

Atrocity propaganda is real, and exists to dehumanize to justify further violence.
04.11.2025 21:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Well I actually think the Holodomor is a great example here because while the famine is very real (though there is scholarly debate to whether it was genocide or not, but for the sake argument let's say it was), the way it was utilized by Neo-Nazis post WW2 to equate the violence of the...
04.11.2025 21:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I don't think you have wonder. But, again as the original uncritical stated, at which I took exception of, this not a both sides issue at this very critical moment. Oppression is preferable to genocide, even if emancipation is preferable to both
04.11.2025 21:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I can absolutely agree with this. Obviously in the current situation, developing a independent military response to the ongoing genocide without in some adopting, in part, the SAF is a tall order, but any nation's military should first serve the people, not alterative goals.
04.11.2025 21:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I have an education, you just actually care about that because in your world only the uneducated unwashed masses would disagree with you on something.
04.11.2025 20:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That is a quintessential both siding of a genocide, sorry that makes you angry, sometimes conflicts like this don't have perfect victims, it's not story time.
04.11.2025 20:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wrong again. I am saying that, in the context of an ongoing genocide you shouldn't, as you did, frame the people, however you want to think of them, who are currently trying to intervening in the genocide, as just as bad as those who are committing the genocide
04.11.2025 20:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0"man, you fucking natives are morons aren't you!"--probably a extremely white person who thinks they can quarter back a people's response to genocide because they read a single book on it one time

04.11.2025 20:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0"Hamas is just as bad as the IDF, they committed harm crimes, they are as a villain and one of the major reasons this war (read genocide) is happening"
04.11.2025 20:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also discrediting a working class Sudanese refugee because they have a different understanding of the conflict in their country to 'win' an argument on blusky is hilariously on brand for you very educated and sincerely morally outraged self. Sorry he doesn't have a IRs degree.
04.11.2025 20:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm not American, I'm Metis who lives in Canada. You should stop assuming who you're talking to, and go back to doing the UAEs job for them yeah?
04.11.2025 20:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I'm already educated, I actually know and talk to Sudanese people, do you?
04.11.2025 20:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm not, and you can stick your graciousness where the sun don't shine.
I learned about this current conflict from a fellow worker, a Sudanese refugee, in 2019. Sorry this stuff isn't just abstraction for me.
By the original context of this conversation that compares the SAF and RSF?
And good for you, I'm sure you stance will make the RSF embrace liberal democracy and stop the slaughter.
Yeah, your 'in-depth' knowledge of the conflict and dictating who is and isn't a victim from afar is a much more sincere form of moral posturing.
04.11.2025 20:05 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0from the financiers of this genocide. so what's the solution here? International intervention by the people funding the genocide?
04.11.2025 19:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've seen Sudanese people talk about the complexity of this current moment, that lead up, the coup, the years of dictatorship leading up to, all the way back to independence and beyond that. I understand the desire here, but you aren't in Sudan, you're in the heart of empire, 2 degrees removed...
04.11.2025 19:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Equating the SAF with the RSF is downplaying war crimes, because, again, one is currently committing a genocide, and one isn't. You normalize the violence against Sudanese by equating their murderers with, as of right now, in this moment, the only intervening force in said genocide.
04.11.2025 19:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Again, we did this already with Hamas. At some point the threat of genocide outweighs the moral certainty that everyone in that part of the world is either a violent criminal deserving of their fate or hapless victim of those with real agency.
