Did you ever ask yourself why I didn’t become an attorney until I was 35? You have absolutely no idea what I know and don’t know about the how the legal system operates.

As I said: In my experience, someone like this escalates if I were to block them.

He’s threatened to file frivolous lawsuits against me. At least every other week, he gets drunk or high and spends hours on tirades about my sex life, my physical appearance, my intelligence, and anything else he can think of.

But sure man, I’ll take up skiing.

He’s told judges in two courts that I’ve committed felonies. He’s promised to ruin my life and has tried to jeopardize my professional license. He’s sent me hundreds of graphic, sexual emails about me. He’s twice claimed to possess CSAM depicting me.

In my experience, someone like this escalates if I were to block them.

This person has tried to locate and identify members of my family and promises to have them sexually assaulted. He’s threatened to assault me. He’s tried to identify the make and model of the car I drive.

I have plenty of hobbies. I’m not sure how adding skiing to the list is going to do much about a guy who has harassed me for three years and who is now claiming I was sexually abused as a child, had my abuse filmed, and who claims to possess images of that abuse. Maybe you can walk me through that.

Update: he now has publicly claimed to possess CSAM depicting me.

And I guess related, if this person took the effort to try to figure out the make and model of the car you drove. If your needle is still on restraint, then (a) damn, I’m sorry women go through that but (b) then I’m also firmly on restraint.

That said, what if in his threats to have your mother sexually assaulted by homeless people, this person posted the street name your mother lived on? And in other posts he stated the street other relatives of your lived on (not knowing they were deceased)?

And also because I don’t want to damage my credibility by turning some weirdo’s mental breakdown on the internet into an expenditure of judicial resources unless it’s really compelling.

I don’t take any of this in a negative way. I asked you because I trust you. This is grating on me, but I’m horribly reluctant to take any kind of action in part because of the context in which you said what you did.

Would you, subjectively, feel seriously harassed, alarmed, or annoyed?

In other words, as a friend, how would you subjectively feel if you were me? Because after each weekend-long bender of his, the needle just keeps moving further toward pulling the trigger.

I’m a pretty thick-skinned person. But it feels really creepy. I’m not asking you for advice about what I should do (I’m a big boy, I can figure out if I COULD do something, which the answer is Yes), but I am asking whether you might do something if you were in my position?

He’s represented that he was/is a residence of my state in writing. He’s said he’s coming out to see my family in December where he will subject one of them to sexual assault. He’s said this numerous times.

He’s filed a frivolous bar complaint, accused me of committing a string of felonies before a federal court, and admitted he’s just doing this to try to ruin my life. My client’s facts were solid, but mine are even more blatant.

I recently took (and won) a case for civil harassment based on fairly solid facts. Solid enough that the court agreed with my client.

I am so tempted, Julie. So, so tempted. This guy has threatened me, tried to threaten my family, and it’s been *three years* of this.
