I saw this up close. My stepdad kept Fox News on all day long and my mom believed all the garbage about the Obamas, etc. When he died she turned off the TV and did a complete 180°. Removing the source kills the hate.

Me too! I want a whole season about the life and times of the Eylian. Its home planet, its mom and dad, its ex-wife. I love this show and I'm baffled by the haters. Sure I could pick a few nits but this show is part of a fantastic era for science fiction fans.

My son is gay. My mother, grandmother and stepdad had no problem with that and they had close, loving relationships with me, my son and his husband until they died. Had they decided to get ugly about my son being gay, that would have been the last time they saw us. Simple as that.

My mom loved all the sleazy mid-century novels and she bought paperbacks, so I was reading her castoff Harold Robbins and Jacqueline Susann books in middle school. Crazy!

I used to do all these things except buying multiple copies of the same book. Now I read on a kindle or iPad because I can enlarge the type, so I don't have books everywhere any more.
