What's driving me a special kind of crazy about the AI discourse is that speculations are all based on the fidelity of information *currently* feeding LLMs - that is, the info of the past decade. Info is going to get human-centipeded so fucking fast we're going to lose all baselines of fidelity

The original hardwood floors in my living room. The pattern is cool but the "rug area" was never finished so the wood grain, even after hours of sanding, is all over the place. Yeah that's true. I do feel like comms stands out though because we use comms tools for the same reasons the corps do - to engage, amplify and sell. Social media, PR and content creation especially feel 100% ick right now as the tools are evolving explicitly to fuck everyone up
