I’ll not say his name again if possible the same way I won’t say hers.

He was an awful person. The world is better without him.

There were two children shot in a school yesterday. That should be why we lower the flag.

As I cannot celebrate his life, I cannot celebrate his death.

But he really deserves just as much attention as the 300+ people killed by gun violence this year that we hear almost nothing about.

Let him pass from memory.

My son and I were down in the basement dealing with homeowner issues. His hands are so unmarked by life as of yet. I wonder if I should be glad that I’ve been able to provide a life so kind or guilty that he has no callus to face the world with?

I feel the same about macchiato. Which often (let’s be clear, almost always) gets turned into a latte because the barista would be embarrassed handing you a cup with so little in it. I love when they hand me the cup and it’s light.

Saw an exhibit by Tony Cokes in the Boston MFA last week (Untitled), that was a slide show featuring text from Mark Fisher’s-The Resistable Demise of Michael Jackson- really good. So much of MJ’s life was twisted and packaged for everyone but him, I wish we’d let him be just a person.

I can’t stress this enough. Seeing a Van Gogh in person is TOTALLY different thank as an image. The depth of the paint (not the color, he really loaded the brush) creates subtle shadows that make the subject’s “ness” so much more.

Again proving that a crusty bread is better than soft loaf. Which could at best be used as a satchel charge, exposing the defender to enemy fire.

Thank god they were wearing body armor.

I also painted for the first time in a long while today. It’s little different than my normal, but I went in with absolutely no plan except to play.

How does automation create more jobs? It is by definition the elimination of work and jobs.

And all these AIs? They’re chatbots. They have more to draw from than Eliza but it’s still a chatbot.

Using generative AI is admitting you lack capability.
