Australia's Heart Foundation just launched an info campaign on the harms of COVID to cardiovascular health - good to see!

But current vaccines only reduce risk of heart damage, they do not eliminate it. We need masking, clean indoor air, better prevention & next gen vaccines

Masking makes sense. SARS-CoV-2 can persist, and new evidence from France shows infected megakaryocytes + platelets โ€” meaning real blood involvement. This virus isnโ€™t just respiratory, and protecting your air protects your blood.

Donโ€™t know anything about viral persistence? Know that itโ€™s the norm๐Ÿ‘‡

Whenever I read studies
with findings such as:
โ€œAlzheimer Disease Patients
Who Survived COVID-19
Have Rapid Disease Progression
and a Higher Risk of Death
at 5-year Follow-up,โ€
I am reminded
that none of us have truly
โ€œSurvived COVID-19,โ€
we are still just trying to survive it.

New data from Japan adds evidence that COVID-19 may raise shingles risk.

The findings come from nearly 400,000 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 from 2020โ€“2023, showing a higher incidence of shingles for a full 6 weeks after being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Mikael Bjรถrnson, MD, links long COVID and POTS.

"Nearly 30% of long COVID patients show signs of POTS."

First identified in 2020โ€“21 and later confirmed, this overlap is troubling since long COVID affects up to 50% of unvaccinated hospitalised adults and 10โ€“15% of non-hospitalised cases.

Graham Greene Fan (@G_GreeneFan) responds, saying they lived through their thirties before COVID and their health did not suddenly get worse back then. They argue that what many people are feeling now is the impact of multiple COVID infections, not just normal aging.

Itโ€™s wild how so many people are gaslit into believing declining health and being sick all the time is just โ€˜normalโ€™ in your 30s. No. This is what repeated COVID infections do.
