I make things.
Iβve had good luck removing smoke smell by hanging the clothes outside for a couple of days

Just added some more mends to an old shirt. I used a slubby yarn and I like the bit of roughness it adds. #visiblemending #needlework
24.04.2025 19:13 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am always stunned by how drastically the quilting can change how the pattern looks. Gorgeous work!

My cat is enjoying the in-progress brick walkway #DIY #cat #homeimprovement

Used some onion skins to tie dye a stained tshirt #dye #naturaldye
04.03.2025 05:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A quilt top (known as a flimsy) made of 1β red, purple, pink, and white squares arranged in a chain link like pattern (triple Irish chain). The red, purple, and pink squares form diagonal lines across the quilt leaving squares of white.
The finished triple Irish chain valentineβs flimsy! Not sure if I will turn it into a blanket or into something else (a jacket perhaps?). Still playing around with the excess strips.

Adding a brick path to our side yard. First step was to dig a trench, now weβre laying down a layer of gravel and tamping it down before adding the final layer of bricks on top.
21.02.2025 01:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Log cabin is such a great block. There are sooo many variations and even just rotating the piecing gives wildly different results. Your block looks great!
17.02.2025 08:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love reuse projects! The prints on those sheets will make for a great jacket
17.02.2025 08:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A photo of a roughly 3 ft by 3 ft grid of quilt blocks laid out on the floor. Each block is identical. The pattern is double Irish chain which loosely resembles a chain link fence. The fabric colors are purple, red, pink, and white with white as the contrast or center of the grids formed by the other colors.
All the blocks have been completed for the double Irish chain. Next I will iron them (againβ¦) and sew them all together #quilt #doubleirishchain
17.02.2025 06:15 β π 15 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A close up of a fabric quilt square, 7 inches by 7 inches. The quilt block is a grid of pink, red, purple, and white squares. The purple squares form a diagonal x across the block, going from corner to corner. Each chain of purple have a chain of pink squares to either side, followed by red then white. The red and white chains do not fully cross the block.
Creating a double Irish chain quilt using only fabric I already own. Halfway there! #quilt #valentines
15.02.2025 01:34 β π 18 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A single knee high sock lays on a wooden floor. The sock is hand knit and has a sunflower motif made of yellow and green.
Finished the first sock. Started the second and itβs about twice as big- I need to learn better color work tensioning
06.02.2025 04:25 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ahhh I love it! Great choice on thread color and patching fabric
06.02.2025 04:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Gorgeous cables! I think the darker brown one is my favorite but theyβre all fabulous
03.02.2025 20:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A quilt made from blue jeans: several pairs of jeans have been cut into 2 inch wide strips. These strips have been woven together to make a grid pattern and then have a small light blue thread tie in the middle of each grid holding the strips to a backing fabric made of an old white tablecloth
This is a quilt in progress made from old blue jeans and a stained tablecloth.
