I love your advice about needing to knock on a ton of doors. Just like a lot of things in life, writing is a contact sport and it's necessary to contact and develop numerous relationships. What was it like the first time you saw something you wrote playing on tv? I bet it was remarkable!

I love that. With this script we are meeting with a very large movie studio this year and I just want it to be the best I can do with realistic expectations. We sold the movie rights to my book and they asked me to write the script. I'm currently working on 4 different scripts and another book.

I think the reason I am so nervous is because it's been my dream since I was 7, and I have been given my shot and want it to workout so badly. I adapted my book into a script. I loved finding ways to make the movie more entertainment friendly from the book. I feel very blessed for the opportunity!

I've turned mine in to the Director and I'm so anxious! I know there will be editing and many draft changes, but nerve-wracking.

Two days ago, I turned my script, "The Rookie Recipient" in to the Director, my favorite actor growing up and Director of my movie, Cylk Cozart! It was a dream come true! You gave me wonderful advice once and I am so grateful to you.

The CHAIR of the Surgical Department at Vanderbilt Medical saw my story online and whatnot, so she asked if she could have a selfie.

I felt honored, but let's remember who the real hero is here: the nurses and doctors.

I get to start 2025 CANCER FREE!!!

Yes, I agree! In that regard, I love going outside with my 2yr old and laying in the grass and just looking up at the sky. It really clears my mind and it's good time spent with my son.

No matter how badly I may want to take a break, my mind and creativity keep winning out, so I have to write! I started my 4th script, a Christmas script, for the holidays.

Hey #scriptsky writers! What advice do you give beginners regarding story block, or writers block?

I tell people to not completely "empty their tank" during a session and stop writing in the middle of a good flow. That way you come back in the middle of a great flow instead of on empty.

YES!! I finally had the epiphany I needed for the last sentence of my script, The Rookie Recipient!!! Fellow #scriptsky writers know what I am talking about....when the fog lifts and all the sudden its clear what should be written!

I met my wife at MTSU! I spend a ton if time in Middle Tennessee. I just learned I have cancer, so going to the cancer center a lot at Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt is where my wife donated her kidney to me as well! What part are you from??
