Under my Standing Authorities as Commander-in-Chief, this morning, the Secretary of War, ordered a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) conducting narcotrafficking in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility β€” just off the Coast of Venezuela. Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO route. The strike was conducted in International Waters, and six male narcoterrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike. No U.S. Forces were harmed. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!!!!

Further premeditated, lawless killing in the Caribbean.

Making at least five such US strikes.

Against unidentified "narcoterrorists" affiliated w/ an unspecified "designated terrorist organization" allegedly trafficking unspecified narcotics.

POTUS is asserting a license to kill outside the law.

EliΓ‘n GonzΓ‘lez, Trump, and What Happened to β€œTrue Conservatism” Toward a quantum theory of politics.

In 2020 conservatives were outraged by this picture of an armed cop deporting a child who came to the US illegally.

Today, conservatives would cheer it. What happened? I have a theory . . .

Speaker Mike Johnson just said he's completely fine with ICE agents shooting priests in the head with pepper balls and roughing up journalists.

I'm sure he'll tell us soon about how it's the Democrats who are waging a war on religion and free speech though.

It'll Be Trump's Fault Donald Trump created this unstable equilibrium; no matter how it breaks down, it will be his fault.

Trump and Miller will probably get the blood in the streets they want eventually. We don’t know when or how it will unfold, or how the public will come to perceive it. But we do know that no matter how it unfolds or is perceived, it is already their fault. All we can do is our best.

6. The revolving door between Amazon and the Bezos Earth Fund is particularly concerning, as Amazon’s carbon emissions have increased by over 50% since 2018, largely driven by increased energy usage associated with AI. Bezos Earth Fund argues that AI is part of the solution to climate change.

2. Most of Bezos' charitable giving ($2.3 billion) has gone to the Bezos Earth Fund. But the organization has developed a reputation less as a sincere effort to combat climate change and more as a vehicle for the corporate infiltration of the key climate organizations.

1. In 2022, Jeff Bezos promised to give away the majority of his wealth during his lifetime.

It is not going well.

Since making the pledge, his net worth has almost doubled to $240 billion.

Meanwhile, he has given less than $5 billion to charity.

Who will lose out when ACA health insurance subsidies expire? Here’s a look at who could be affected by the end of the Affordable Care Act credits and how much prices could change.

Some 22 million Americans are set to lose health insurance subsidies by the end of the year.

Here's who it will affect and what will happen if the subsidies are allowed to expire:

And the danger of that wealth is amplified by the power we've allllowed it to buy.

Power to influence elections.
Power to mold institutions.
Power to move markets.
Power to manipulate media.
Power to punish anyone who tries to challenge or question their power.

Mockler: I think we need to spend more time talking about phase two and the actual peace deal, rather than some Nobel peace prize, when that hasn't been achieved yet.

I can’t help but think today about how many young people were savaged on social media, branded as anti-semites and abandoned by their schools for daring to call for a ceasefire. I remember saying that it was the first time I can remember that calling for ceasefire was regarded as a hostile demand.

We can celebrate a πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ winning the prize while acknowledging that πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ could not provide the environment for them to do their prize winning research, so they left. Maybe it’s time to fix that Mr. Carney.

Opinion | Trump’s Nobel peace prize campaign is the least important part of the Gaza deal If the ceasefire holds, the administration deserves much credit. But the fixation on Trump getting a prize distracts from things that actually matter.

Trump took office with a Israel-Hamas ceasefire in place, then announced a vision for Gaza as a US-owned resort, with most Palestinians living there gone. Israel restarted military ops in March and imposed famine. Thousands of dead Palestinians later, the Trump admin helped broker another ceasefire.
