I think it's fair to call it antisemitic. If one mode of antisemitism is essentializing Jews (according to the Jerusalem declaration), this fits the bill. It's also just ridiculous. Many Jews change their names; many people convert to Judaism; many people have "Jewish" names that aren't Jewish.

Is it way different, though, if we’re looking at the idea of something needing to be sanctified in order to have God inhabit it/them? Like, they don’t BECOME God, but they become a vessel (body) that God inhabits?

How does this jibe with the idea of Israel as kadosh like God is kadosh? Or, perhaps the issue is that the concept of “divine” isn’t at play here, and kadosh is something different?
