Not a clue 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think, for many, it was the ridiculousness of it all. A herd of 11-12 year old boys came by and were so excited about them that they marched away chanting Potato! Potato!

We did give an option for both candy and potato, so no regrets later on our account.

I work primarily in a classroom or at a computer, so very little physically to show for it. I think it’s part of the reason I enjoy cooking, baking, and crafting so much. It’s tangible.

I particularly enjoy small room craft kits that let you make small parts at a time, as a grading break perhaps.

We gave potatoes as an option alongside candy. They were VERY popular.
