Dieser ganze Diskurs ist mittlerweile so dermaßen entgleist. Wie wäre es, wenn wir darüber reden, was die Zukunft und Gegenwart von Kindern und Jugendlichen real bedroht:
Klimakatastrophe, Armut, fehlende Ressourcen im Bildungssystem, Superreiche und die fehlende Regulierung von Techkonzernen.

I think „demand“ is an interesting concept here. As much as the people consuming this content, social media platforms demand it and feature it for their own gain. When your newsfeed is flooded with these accounts, it’s much easier to believe what they say is normal and widely agreed upon.

Very funny to compare this to the Valve hardware announcement video, and think back to the Amazon guy on LinkedIn who was like, “why can’t we compete with Valve??? It is a mystery!!!”

Der Fall Kirk zeigt wieder, dass es im politischen Journalismus nicht allzu gut ausschaut. Viele haben die Prinzipien ihres Berufs nicht verstanden, können sich nicht verorten, sind von Begrifflichkeiten überfordert und treiben hilflos umher. Sehr selbstbewusst sind sie zum Glück dennoch.

War für mich ganz klar eine der Hauptsachen die mich davon abgehalten haben meine Promotion fertig zu bekommen (bis jetzt, hab noch nicht ganz aufgegeben). Mit Kids konnte ich nicht mehr das leisten was vorher drin war, dann noch die Pandemie und das letzte Bisschen Energie war weg.

Whats up with everyone purchasing The Dig right away? It’s also in my first purchase from 2009. It’s an interesting game, but I don’t think it is as good as other LucasArts games? I still love the way it looks though.

Right? During the VR hype cycle in the 10s, it seemed like everyone had just forgotten about 90s VR. Of course it was much better 20 years later, but still nowhere near ready to have mass appeal and use cases. Maybe in another 20 years, maybe not.

How is this surprising? The same thing *just* happened with AR/VR. "Imagine how great it will be in a few months/next year!" The years, decades even, of research and development before the current state are so easily forgotten under all the marketing glitz.
