I'm on a bit of a Sixties music kick and it will never not amuse me that two of Certified Petty Bitch Del Shannon's top hits were "hey everyone that woman is a slut" (Runaround Sue) and "I'm glad you got cheated on, actually" (Hats Off To Larry). Just unbridled rancid vibes but SUCH foot tappers.

The best thing about events like Sheffield last Saturday is that we get to put books and writers that you wouldn't necessarily normally see together! Huge thanks to all those who have picked up our Sheffield authors' books recently 🙏

I love being 30 because some of my friends are having wonderful little people I get to buy presents for and others of my friends are becoming chic divorcees.

Normally I'm team 'keep your child OFF the internet' but there's this 3 year old who does better makeup ASMRs than most of the grown ups I've seen and like. I'm grateful.

This is staggering.
Dismantling the right wing propaganda machine is imo one of the biggest and most vital obstacles to the future of this country.

Mandelson getting sacked has prompted Mama de Lullington to remind me of when I (aged 3) heard everyone having a go at someone I thought was called "Petel Mandelson" in the news back in '98 and I thought it was so unfair that I insisted on christening him "Poor Petel". Cancel me now I guess.

happy 30th birthday to the man who yesterday casually came up with a drag queen called 'Lawrence of A Labia' and then when I referenced it back to him two hours later had absolutely no recollection of mentioning it. love u doc.

of course, the newer ones have PoC in them, so that's excellent. if only we could have had the old episodes but without it being all white people! what a sweet world that would be!

you know what else was lovely? there were so many British teeth and wrinkles in the earlier series' of MM. not to get all 'old man yells at cloud' but people had proper faces.

ted. In this context I feel obliged to state once more that - like the hundreds of protesters arrested last weekend - I too support Palestine Action. If this makes me a "supporter of terror" un- der UK law, so be it. My books, at least for now, are still published in Britain, and are widely available in bookshops and even supermarkets. In recent years the UK's state broadcaster has also televised two fine adaptations of my novels, and therefore regularly pays me residual fees. I want to be clear that I intend to use these pro-ceeds of my work, as well as my public platform generally, to go on support-ing Palestine Action and direct action against genocide in whatever way I can. If the British state considers this "terrorism", then perhaps it should investigate the shady organisations that continue to promote my work and fund my activities, such as WH Smith and the BBC.
