I remember being told that it would take 193 years to reach legal limits for nitrogen dioxide.

I decided this was unacceptable.

Thanks to the bold policies we put in place, we've managed to do it in nine years - 184 years earlier than expected.

More than overjoyed that we've won, especially against that lot; the concern about open play still stands, but bloody hell I love the #Arsenal!!

My "hot" (and therefore probably wrong) take on #Arsenal.

Arteta has deeply embedded a control/defence ethos in his team, so we usually only concede exceptional or self-inflicted goals (which is all that our better opponents need).

However, it has come at the cost of our ope play creativity.

One thing I've learned from the Internet is that a lie needs 0% proof to be believed, but the truth requires thousands of pages of proof and still won't be believed.

Child of immigrants here; what Liam Byrne sees as mere shadowboxing is deadly serious to many of us.
If Labour could bestir themselves to (occasionally) defend us, that would be nice.

I have long thought that Jenrick (rather than Farage or the risible Badenoch) is the real danger.

Just sayin'.

I read the entire article, not just the piece Mehdi selected, and that clearly wasn't Harris' entire point.

Also, you haven't the first clue what I think about the Democrat leadership; the consequences of the US electorate's choice however are both relevant and inarguable.

Maybe you're better suited for the level of discourse on Twitter.

Well aware of the point Harris is making and absolutely no-one on the thread is calling her blameless; that doesn't excuse the US electorate though. Unfortunately the rest of us are having to live with that choice too.

Spot on; I have a fair bit of time for Mehdi Hassan, but this is juvenile point scoring, especially when (on a hourly basis) we can all see what an appalling choice the US electorate made intead.

I'm beginning to think Arteta is so obsessed with profiting from marginal gains, he's unable to make big, bold moves.
#Arsenal have got the squad, so is he now their "handbrake"?

I'd be fine with the plan if it didn't involve his finishers being left with a hill to climb, courtesy of his starting selection.

It's been at the back of my mind for a few days, so I'll just put it there and then go back to nicer thoughts, and posts. There is no need to talk about a Reichstag-like false flag . As I see it, Kirk is to MAGA what murdered S.A. Horst Wessel, turned into a "martyr" by Goebbels, was to the Nazis.

Systemic racism affects maternity care for black women in England, say MPs Commons committee finds women’s concerns not taken seriously due to bias, stereotyping and racist assumptions Black women in England are still facing poorer outcomes in their maternity care due to systemic racism, alongside failures in leadership and data collection, according to a group of MPs. Across the UK, black women are more than twice as likely to die in childbirth compared with their white counterparts, while babies born to black mothers are at an increased risk of stillbirth. Yes; too little (his concern about the intimidation of minorities reads like an addendum to that about violence towards Police) and too late.

So it falls on us to take responsibility for their becoming radicalised? By exposing ourselves to abuse, threats and the potential for real harm?
Hard pass.
I'm more than open to opposing views from the Centre and Centre-Right, but won't sacrifice my wellbeing to ease their discomfort.

Britain will β€˜never surrender flag’ to far-right protesters, Starmer says PM condemns attacks against police, racist intimidation of minorities and use of flag to instil fear

Mr "Too little and too late" is at it again; unsurprisingly more worried about the treatment of the Police than the rising tide of intolerance and racism that UK minorities are facing.

These people WANTED VIOLENCE. They saw Kirk's death as an opportunity to achieve it. It was a thrilling moment for them when they could openly call for violent retaliation.

This is simply untenable. There is no way forward with media and political classes captured by the right. Every time someone commits a crime you have to pray it's not an undesirable or it's purge time, then when it turns out to be themselves again they just shrug and wait for the next one.
