October is the least warmed month and reached +1.55°C during a La Niña!
The past 29 months were +1.57°C on average, 0.32°C above the same 2015-2017 period, indicating a 0.4°C/dec warming rate.
That's more than a doubling from the 1970-2010 warming rate.
Even(?) we might have underestimated this.

The currently predicted October 25th global anomaly is 1.28°C (1981-2010 baseline). The "delta" between the 1981-2010 baseline and the 1850-1900 baseline for October 25th is 0.62°C.
Adding, we get 1.28°C + 0.62°C = 1.90°C above the pre-industrial baseline.
International shipping keeps emitting greenhouse gases like there's no tomorrow, while it largely eliminated its cooling sulphur emissions.

Thus, virtually the entire ocean is potentially at risk if climate change promotes increases in Pseudo-nitzschia growth and toxicity. Global models warn that increasingly prolific and toxic bloom events must be expected under a continuously warming ocean.
