The best horror is either unnerving and uncanny or unnerving and all too real.

It's weirdly retro for sure.
Despite my dislike of the Final Destination franchise and my dislike of Bloodlines as a subtitle, Final Destination: Bloodlines is a joyous blast.

04.08.2025 05:57 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Just rewatched the Justice League episode "Hearts and Minds" with the Justice Lords. Y'all need to be revisiting it because not only is it fantastic, it's still painfully relevant.

With a comics-appropriate vague bulge.

04.08.2025 05:31 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0The subreddit is "men writing women," which of course would never showcase the many positive, non-catty relationships between women I have written over the years.
This was how these two specific female characters interacted—predating me, no less, but I stand by it.
It happens. In life.
Reddit recently shit on me for writing Ravager as snide and cruel, and for Wonder Girl acting in a defensive manner.
Um.
Do you not already know my horror kinks? If not, here you go.

04.08.2025 05:10 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I know I've seen 2 versions of 6 but I wanna say there's a 3rd? It was a narrative mess from the start, but agreed on Tommy.

04.08.2025 05:02 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0All but the most recent of the Hellraiser movies are poorly made. The original at least has an excuse and a wonderful noir tone.

Like them all.
Brought her back for a nude scene, which was particularly odd. Agreed on those shitty redos that missed the point.
Based on Letterboxd, The Devil's Rejects is the **one** I liked. Also, the Richard Brake monologue in 31 is quite good (but nothing else).
As much as I adore The Prince of Darkness, the dear and wonderful director was—and I really hate to say this about anyone—well on his decline.
