Someone just shared this with me: 1967, 3,000 publicans marching against introducing breath tests for drivers.
Barbara Castle MP got this introduced and speed limits and seatbelts as mInister for transport, and faced the standard opposition.

One is to use the main road despite heavy traffic, another is to use an isolated and dark off road route, and the third is too fund solutions which are better for everyone.
Cycling UK are campaigning for infrastructure which is safe for everyone to use, noting that women often feel least safe in existing infrastructure. Safe cycling (and active travel) is a social and environmental justice issue.

We had 80 staff there, and there was some really good discussion, exploring new ways of doing things, and recognising the excellence of what they already do!

We are receiving a lot of queries about emails claiming to offer tickets to the SoA AGM for a large fee.
Our online AGM is free to attend for all members. There is no fee to attend and booking can be made on our website.
We have not been hacked, nor has there been a data protection leak.
