Agreed, but Ohtani is a unique situation - his endorsement money (esp in Japan, but here too) basically dwarfs any salary he could receive. His $2M/yr salary is just a placeholder so that he can reap the endorsements. Very few other players, even the other Japanese players, have that same advantage.

Best case, Munoz gets out clean, then works the 8th, and you have to close out the 9th with your *not* best pitcher. No reason to think it still wouldn’t be close. Just don’t agree with “no reason not to”

The last 2 yrs Servais went to Munoz every high leverage moment, burned him out, and we missed the playoffs. Wilson lived and died by Munoz in the 9th - a decision, one that didn’t work but one that got us this far.

Wild ride - series was lost in games 3 & 4, and again in game 6. Can’t take it to a game 7 in their home ballpark. Going to be a pivotal offseason, hard to imagine making this team better without spending lots of $$. #GoMs

Been having issues with tv audio- no dsp through my Yamaha receiver, center channel fading out, etc. Before springing for a new receiver, did some testing/messing around and it’s my FireTV stick. Tried another one and everything works!

#Mariners - re: Woo - if it's 3-1 going into game 5, I might think about patching together an opener/going to Miller/etc and save Woo for World Series gm 1 - hard to gamble on taking it back to Toronto if you lose, but ... (of course just win gms 3 and 4 and then Woo is set up for WS gm 1!!!)

I saw 2 games at Sick’s - distinctly remember sitting behind Frank Thomas playing for the Washington Nationals. I loved the Pilots!
