The four horns and fur may mean the character is one of the Perchten. He's also wearing a large bell protruding from his lower belly, which may or may not be meant to be phallic.

For #Krampusnacht, here are photos from last year's Krampuslauf ( #Krampus parade), from my sister, who lives in Munich. Masks are traditionally hand-carved, terrifying works of art. Characters wear large bells. The extra furry one may be one of the Perchten, and the witch may be Frau Perchta.

When I was growing up, there was something on the bedroom door that I could see from my bed.

I couldn't reach it and it was hard to see from underneath if I was up close but if I pointed it out to my parents, they didn't see anything on the door at all.
