“The universe is fuckin’ rad, bruh!” Geek très chic with a side order of communicatrix, mama, partner of @huttjatt, hound owner, Scottish/tangata tīriti/sort-of-Brazilian. I like tall trees, camping, ssamjeong, chunky shoes and sobriety. She/they.

The best bit of Once In A Lifetime (the live version) is not the “my God what have I done” bit but the keyboard solo riff, sorry if you disagree but I am correct

A diverse flight crew of a gay guy, a Black man, and a woman

A gay guy, a Black man, and a woman walk into a flight deck— that’s not the beginning of a joke, but just a regular day at work! There was so much DEI on this plane that we could hardly get in the air. Luckily my limp wrists were able to wrestle the heavy jet back to the ground 💅🏼

Fifth thing! I love the inside of my Cure sweatshirt which is perfectly soft and gorgeous. The outside is also good of course but goth + cosy = wondrous

Fourth thing! I love a good dystopian sci-fi series - particular faves have been Fallout, Silo and Foundation in particular! The costumes! Demerzel! Lee Pace chewing the scenery! Jared Harris Having A Bad Time!

Third thing: I love the taste of London tap water. Maybe it’s the super high levels of calcium chloride or the lingering memory of, well, other people’s enjoyment of said water - but it hits the spot and I miss it. See also: London in general.

Second thing! I love the soundtrack to the Chernobyl miniseries. It was composed by Hildur Guðnadóttir who used actual recordings from nuclear power stations, which is about the most metal thing I’ve ever heard

I used a video editor to analyse the video + estimated the size of the space using google maps

Based on that, the lower bound of the number of people in the video is about 83,000 people. Plus the 4,000 already at Parliament house (according to @tzemingdynasty.bsky.social) that makes 87,000 people.

"I think I knew first what side I was on when I was about five years old, at which time nobody was safe from buffaloes. It was in a brownstone house in New York, and there was a blizzard, and my rich aunt--a horrible woman then and now--had come to visit. I remember going to the window and seeing the street with the men shoveling snow; their hands were purple on their shovels, and their feet were wrapped with burlap. And my aunt, looking over her shoulder, said, "Now isn't this nice that there's this blizzard. Now all those men have work." And I knew then that it was not nice that men could work for their lives only in desperate weather, that there was no work for them in fair. That was when I became anti-fascist, at the silky tones of my rich and comfortable aunt."
