This iconic Fabian Todorovic cartoon is still one of the best I’ve seen at illustrating the remarkable amount of space we surrender to cars, leaving little space left for everyone and everything else. The text added later makes the bonus point that many drivers still manage to complain about it.

A photo of a rosy maple moth on a human fingertip. It is yellow and pink in color with a fuzzy texture. Its wings are held above its body.
Ever seen the rosy maple moth? Its vibrant color provides camouflage among the fruits of red maple trees. With a wingspan of up to 2 in (5 cm), this silk moth is nocturnal & solitary. It can be found throughout North America.

I found a book on how to be invisible
Take a pinch of keyhole
And fold yourself up
You cut along a dotted line
You think inside out
And you're invisible

Gigantic wooden sculpture of a troll between four large trees. His hands wrapped around two of them. My lovely wife is standing next to the troll looking up at him and is dwarved by the sculpture. He is wearing a necklace of birdhouses to interact even more with nature.
This is Jakob Two Trees, a wooden troll living in the forest created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo. It's huge. 14 ft tall. There are six of them in the #PNW (each different). Amazing - just there, out in the woods, for all to see!

The upper frame shows a cut-through depiction of a flooded village with intact church and stunted trees, green in hue under the water as fish swim past. Below is an innocuous, conventional scene of a peaceful reservoir in sunlight
I used to find this picture - and the whole concept - of a flooded valley quite haunting.
Actually, I still do

BELFAST is relatively flat. Yes, there are a few interesting hills to the north of the city, but in general, it is one of the most cyclable cities in the UK. Apart from the fact the infrastructure (for cars, bikes, pedestrians, public transport) is terrible.
