Greg Bovino, Kristi Noem, and DHS need to answer for their unchecked attacks on Chicago residents.
ICE is an out-of-control danger to our peaceful communities.
The images from the Sun-Times today speak for themselves.
Literally nothing coming from the Pentagon, DHS, or DOJ should be considered credible unless backed up by an independent source outside of government. (This, for the record, is a huge problem!)

Another important point is that the regime lies so routinely to the public that their account of whatever incident(s) occur cannot be taken at face value. And reprinting statements and press releases is not journalism.
14.10.2025 21:02 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Extremely important point. The bile spewing from Miller, Trump, and their supporters make their bloodthirstiness crystal clear. They are desperate to invoke the Insurrection Act and will manufacture a pretext to do so eventually.
What happens next is on them.

I'm not afraid. Come and get me, Donald.
I will stand up for the law and the Constitution. Thatβs what we do in the State of Illinois.
Which is precisely why Trump intends to militarize the country. I don't believe that there will be free & fair elections in 2026 if Trump can help it. This is why the nonviolent resistance movement must achieve critical scale and intensity before then. Here's hoping.
14.10.2025 15:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We have to understand how it's not just Trump, but the entire Republican Party as an institution that is violent-minded and deeply autocratic. There will be no meaningful congressional restraint on Trump's behavior as long as there's a Republican majority.

Republican congresspeople and Senators appear to be falling over themselves to characterize the Oct. 18 No Kings protestors as terrorists who "hate America." It's easy to read between the lines: this is to create a rhetorical permission structure for the violent suppression of Trump's opposition. π§΅
14.10.2025 15:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Federal agents invaded even the offices of The Crisis and the National Association for the advancement of colored people and asked searching questions: " just what, after all, were our objects and activities?β I took great satisfaction in being able to sit back in my chair and answer blandly, βWe are seeking to have the constitution of the United states thoroughly and completely enforced.β It took some ingenuity, even for Southerners, to make treason out of that.
How W. E. B. Du Bois responded to government policing of "anti-American" sentiment during the 1910s:
"I took great satisfaction in being able to sit back in my chair and answer blandly, 'We are seeking to have the Constitution of the United States thoroughly and completely enforced.' β

Yet itβs backfiring: Dems & rally organizers are using it to galvanize attendance, which will likely succeed.

@timothysnyder.bsky.social warns us that the White House is trying to organize a moral panic about "antifa."
Don't buy into the panic. It's just more right-wing lies. Journalists have a duty to the truth, not merely to parrot press releases and soundbites.

Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest. Thereβs been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day. What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that weβre actually not that afraid. It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as βwar-torn,β it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and itβs, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.
