At some point we all laid out our last page in QuarkXPress, and the tragedy is that we didn't know.

Hey @bobmouldmusic.bsky.social β€” any chance you’d share chords for Roll
Over and Die? Trying to learn it.

Cool, I’ll definitely try it. I was honesty worried that the delivery gameplay was going to be akin to Getting Over It, where the gameplay loop is trying to puppet some ungovernable character over uneven ground.

Is it difficult? I find myself avoiding games that make me replay segments over and over. It doesn’t need to be easy, but I prefer not frustrating.

A good friend of mine went on and on about that game, but I just have never fired it up. It's just there sitting on my Ally -- maybe I need to finally give it a shot.

Our school had an awesome communications workflow where they'd send you an SMS link that takes you to a website that builds and downloads a pdf that has a message that could have been in the original text.

Target's Switch 2 preorder shipping experience was a little nuts. Up until late last night, they were saying that it was "about to ship" and wouldn't arrive until *next Wednesday*, then all of a sudden it's coming today.

I guess it's an underpromise/overdeliver thing, but sheesh.

In my life, I've read two books that I almost had to stop reading because I was so intensely unsettled: Richard Preston's "The Hot Zone" back in 1995 and, just last week, Annie Jacobsen's "Nuclear War: A Scenario." Both books that I'm glad I read and never want to read again.

There's a strange BlueSky algorithm quirk (I'd call it a bug) where I frequently see the same story reshared by the same person two or three times in a row. I wish it would not do that.

Was able to score a Switch 2 preorder a few minutes after midnight. Few errors during checkout in the Target app, but it seemed to work without huge headaches. It's interesting that the API endpoints for mobile apps feel more robust and reliable than using the raw Web.

Eric Van Lustbader - Wikipedia

Just learned that Eric Van Lustbader isn't a pen name. Dude not only was born with the dopest writer name ever, but has a Zelig-like biography intersecting with Lauren Bacall, the Carradines, Elton John and John Lennon. Clearly the most interesting man in the world.

Man, I really dig this show. Great episode, fascinating topic. Covid really altered the emotional and social development of a lot of young folks.

For me, I have enough in my feed that if I don’t finish something the first time I rarely get back to it, so I end up with a lot of abandoned episodes at the 50 minute mark (roughly the length of my am run). I’m a fan of more and shorter independent episodes myself since you can pick and choose.

Hey @davidpierce.xyz -- Vergecast question: the recent midweek episodes have basically been two separate shows merged into one very long episode. Any reason not to just split them up into two different episodes to be released on different days? Love the show, keep it up, etc. etc.

It’s worth stating this simply: For literally anyone in the US Govt from 1945 to 2025, Signalgate would require an instant resignationβ€”and a criminal investigation. It would be a matter of personal *honor* to resign. The fact Mike Waltz & Pete Hegseth are choosing to fight it out is a terrible omen.
