Dead Man’s Hand, Rebels and Patriots, Pikeman’s Lament, Frostgrave, Rangers of Shadowdeep, Devilry Afoot and board-game player. More than a passing interest in historic buildings and landscape. Occasional wildlife photos when it stands still.

It's definitely all about tin tabernacles here at BCD right now. Historic Churches 2025 is coming out soon and there's a great article all about tabernacle interiors.

From Historic England’s (extensive) listing description:

“EXTERIOR: the three-stage west tower has diagonal buttresses with offsets and a crenellated parapet with slender, crocketed pinnacles to the corners. To the base of the tower is a moulded off-set plinth, with a string course to the top of each stage. The north side of the tower has two memorial tablets to the first stage and a stair turret to the first and second stages. To the west side of the tower is a central, four-centred arched doorway beneath a rectangular hoodmould with label stops. The spandrels of the doorway carry Abbot Parker’s coat of arms. The doorway was restored and re-carved in c1993. There is a three-light tracery window above. To the second stage is a small, single-light round-headed window, while each side of the third stage has a two-light belfry window.”

Yeap, a 2’x2’ board is the suggested board size. It’s a great little game from @irregularwars.bsky.social

I painted these earlier on in the year for #RoSD #RangersOfShadowDeep using dark greys and russet brown.

I also used some of the #Oathmark Human light infantry bodies to provide some variety.

Test model for some #Oathmark Elves. I wanted to break away from the usual greens, so came up with this contrast scheme of light and dark greys and blues.

I just need to sort out the base.
