Just watched a user hit our signup CTA and get dropped cold onto an Auth0 login screen.

No context. No warmth.

Not a great experience.

Fixing it to add a smooth interstitial before the form loads.

Lesson: Handoffs matter. Even tiny ones.

Major fail, but fixable.

Testing new messaging and home page on the site this week. The old stuff was not clear enough to folks so hopefully the new messaging is a bit better.

Let's see what happens over the next few weeks!

We will be launching our affiliate program within the next two weeks. I spent the past month evaluating most solutions on the market. There is certainly a gap here for something simple yet effective.

Good luck.

We chose BoldDesk for its helpdesk features and knowledge base articles. It is not bad software by any means. It is just clunky to use at times.

We needed better control of the knowledge base layout and some better flows for customer support processes that it could not offer.

6 months ago, I chose our help desk software based on price.

It was cheaper, and I convinced myself it would be "good enough."

It wasn’t... I screwed up.

It has cost way more than I thought we were saving.

Moving to Intercom this week... Lesson learned!

Spent the week getting ready to launch an affiliate program.

Rewardful = dead simple, fast to deploy.
PartnerStack = expensive, more enterprise features, has a marketplace.

Trying to work out how valuable the marketplace is with PartnerStack.

I’ve been loving @ghost.org with Handlebars & Tailwinds for the ConversionWax site.

Making updates is actually fun. Clean templates, easy styling, no mess.

It’s clean, fast, and doesn’t make me cry like some other CMS setups I’ve known.

Honestly, 10/10 would template again. πŸ‘»πŸ’…

The new messaging that we rolled out helped with existing users and the new users "get it".

Now, just trying to work out how to find more of our people.

Sometime I think we should just tack on "AI" to the end of our product and that might do the trick!

That's cool, I like the idea. I am going to start doing the same.

Looking at my LinkedIn inbox & it is packed daily, and I never really read. I assume everyone has this issue.

Refocusing on SEO and fixing our site messaging. Early feedback showed users were confused about what we actually do.

Yeah, it is just not who any of us are.

We are focused on finding our customers the old fashion way, reaching out!

So far niche subreddits have been successful. Linkedin not so much, there seems to be to much noise there.

We thought finding marketing folks would have been a bit easier.

We are working on answering that question right now. So far, everything is underperforming what we were hoping for.

Regarding the brand's social account, I think that they have limited uses. I can not see how producing throw-away content 5x a week will get anyone interested in us.

I’m exhausted from reading how to start social media accounts for my SaaS.

So much advice, so many β€œgrowth hacks.”

But seriously…

Does anyone actually run a SaaS brand account that isn’t cringy?

For bootstrapped founders trying to build something real, this model is exhausting.

We have spent a ton of time on this "marketing" channel when we could have been doing things that would make the product better.

Then we go live on Product Hunt… and realize it’s mostly a pay-to-play game.

If you’re not spending on promo, you’re invisible.

That sucked after all the time we spent building out the profile page, first comment, storylane walk through, etc...

Less than 20 visits combined.
No engagement. No traction.

Most of these folks did not even watch the video on the homepage...

ConversionWax | OPTIMISE SITE CONTENT IN SECONDS Boost sales conversions by spending less time optimizing images and manually scheduling updates and more time adding regionally specific product content.

Conversions don’t start at checkout.
They start the second someone lands on your site.

If what they see feels personal, they’ll buy.
If not, they bounce.

That’s what ConversionWax fixes.

That’s why I started ConversionWax, to give ecom brands the power to create personalized, high-converting experiences without needing a full-time dev team or massive overhaul.

Just smart, flexible tweaks that meet your customers where they are.

Most conversion problems aren’t because your site is ugly or broken.

It’s because it’s too general.

And general doesn’t convert.

Relevant does.

This is the exact problem we’re solving with ConversionWax:
Helping brands automatically show the right content, images, videos, at the right time to the right user.

πŸ“ Geo-location
🌐 Referral or traffic source
🀝 Affiliate link or influencer campaign
⏰ Time of day

Now picture this instead:
– That Miami shopper sees a summer-specific offer
– The affiliate traffic lands on a tailored landing page with the exact product, review highlights, and β€œBuy Now” CTA
– Someone from Canada sees the insulated gear they actually need

That’s personalized content.

Or maybe they’re coming from a YouTube affiliate review that hyped up your best-selling earbuds.

But they land on your generic homepage with a dozen product categories and zero mention of the item they came for.

Momentum? Killed.

05.04.2025 13:43 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Let’s say someone clicks from a Facebook ad in Miami.
They’re looking for lightweight summer gear.

But your homepage features cozy flannels, moody winter images, and a promo for snow boots.

🧊 Cold click. Gone.
