Now, I am actually a fan of Qatar Airways as an airline, but their constant, misleading, promises are annoying.

They constantly offer deals like this (20% off) to Privilege Club (their Frequent Flyer scheme) members. The important part is "Up To". The best saving I've ever had has been 1.2%.

Very seriously, are my standards too high? I expect people to understand they're on a global social media so are talking to people living in other countries, with different customs, accents/words, and food. I expect people to infer some basic meaning and understand if a topic is for them or not.

Possibly, but the OS doesn't exist before POST, so it shouldn't be able to break that. Even if it updated the BIOS that, shouldn't prevent it getting to POST, then stopping. It is much more likely that a component has failed at the hardware level.

I just dont see how something at the OS level can trigger something that renders the device unable to reach POST. That implies something way outside what the OS should be able to interact with. The MB is `ASUS® ROG STRIX X299-E` so I suspect it is just sketchy.

Well, "definitely" is a strong word. I cant see any way that the patch would cause the motherboard to fail, though.

OK - on further investigation, this looks like a dead motherboard which was just incredibly co-incident with the patch timing...

So, 54 minutes before a call, I decided to allow windows to do an update that said "approximately 7 minutes".

40 min later, PC still rebooting....
