Hope not! Need to give us chionophiles at least another month. Cold, put on a coat / heating; hot, just have to suffer. Short days - you know where you should be at 6:00pm; long days, 6:00pm β€œI should be mowing the lawn…”

Just can’t get head around this. As dire as the health service is here, reading about the costs in US is frightening. We may have to sit in A&E for hours but at least not leaving with a bill. #NHS

This one’s for free. Forget pan of water, forget useless plastic gadgets. The secret to a quick PERFECT poached egg.
1. Boil kettle
2. Half fill microwaveable bowl with boiling water and stir
3. Crack in egg
4. Microwave 1 minute (may tweak time depending on preference)
Enjoy delicious poached egg!

Thanks. Useful info. Wonder if you have the ear of Trafficwatchni and ask them to post on BlueSky? Would be good to access updates (wife and daughter were stuck 3 hours on M1 due to flood near Moira). M1 was closed, but no updates for those already stuck on it. Thanks

I retained a presence on twitter/x simply so that i could get live reports of gaa matches, locally and nationally. I have now deactivated that account. Is there anyone with influence here that would pressure the GAA at all levels to leave that platform in the interests of child safety. #gaa

Is there some form of legal requirement that they use? Could they just not stop posting? No need to make a statement on it, no need to comment on, just stop. Surely no one is obliged to use it

Hard agree. In an ideal world we wouldn't have to do this. However there's too much of this sh-- in our society and politics, for us to leave it to the wilfully ignorant and the malicious to occupy this ground in the public sphere.

Bilbo woke up one day to find a Tesco had been built right beside his gaff.

It was an unexpected item in the Baggins area.
