Resolution   Having failed to keep A new year’s resolution for Pretty much ever, this year I resolve to Play it safe. The trick is to know Your limits. Keep it simple.   Now what I resolve to do is to Eschew a poetic form. Abstain from Writing an acrostic for a whole   Year. A resolution, I think, Easily done. Eminently achievable. A piece of cake. Such a shame

It is. When we tasted the filling it was so fiery I wondered if I’d cope, and J said he was glad I’d done that bit (I blame him if things are too hot), but the topping completely offset the heat. No salt in recipe, we did add some to top and bottom, felt it needed it.

Keema-spiced cottage pie, delish joint effort. I have to thank @pgjonesvenice.bsky.social for flagging up this Calum Franklin recipe, it’s going to be a winter warmer favourite.

This poem is written in the shape of a Christmas tree (well, most of it is) … Needles I wrote a poem in the shape of a Christmas tree but then forgot to water it and only a few days later [but the words beyond this point are scattered around the bottom of the page, like needles which have fallen from a Xmas tree) there were words all over the carpet
