And it's bad. Willful ignorance, enforced by those who choose to deny science, is an existential threat to our civilization.

1. History isn’t there to be liked or disliked.
2. History is there to be learned from.
3. History offends you? Even better. Then you’re less likely to repeat it.
It’s that simple.
We can judge our progress by the courage of our questions and the depth of our answers, our willingness to embrace what is true rather than what feels good.

Wispy pale pink clouds suspended in a sky that is nearly inky black, framed by silhouettes of tall eucalypts on each side. The moon is a small bright dot amongst the clouds.
It's so beautiful when the sky is rapidly darkening but the clouds still hold the last light from the sun. And the moon amongst them 🤗🌛

In space, Venus flanks Earth on the left, with a hellfire greenhouse effect. Mars on the right, which long ago had running water. Today, it's bone dry. Something bad happened on each planet.
Seems like the wrong time to limit the Nation’s capacity to conduct climate research.

Hi back-gardeners! Planted Nola potatoes this year as a late outdoor crop. Vigorous stalks but ultimately a poor-ish yield. Is this typical of this variety? Better alternatives?
