A little while ago, Apple Music added an auto-DJ sort of thing where it mixes the end of one song into the next one, and I have mostly left it alone... however, I just had shuffle on and it made a *disgusting* mix of Fujii Kaze's 'Garden' into ABBA's 'The Winner Takes It All'. It was impressive.

I left for a doctor’s appt right around when you posted this (in the waiting room now) and it is gloomy here as well. not great!

I had big thoughts during the twitter exodus about how replacing one centralized communication service moderated and operated by faceless tech people with another iteration of the exact same thing was not The Way, and the world was not ready to hear it.

I feel like I didn’t even look up that much super touristy stuff on my phone in Japan but *every single* suggested post, recommended video etc since coming back home has been some unrealistically perfect Japanese scene laid over a song from the Your Name soundtrack. Or an “underground” food spot.

I thought I would try a fancy hotel room for a few days before going to a regular one in Tokyo. I have to use two elevators and tap my room card at no less than two “security door” looking things to get to even arrive at the room. A nice lady showed me what all of the room’s buttons and screens do.
