Posto, a Pizza & Italian cuisine restaurant, recently relocated to Assembly Row in Somerville. The restaurant has long been one of my favorites, and the cuisine at the new location is just as delicious as ever. And their Roasted Garlic pizza could protect you from an army of vampires!

This weekend, for my Birthday, I'll be opening this unique Palo Cortado Sherry, which is an average age of 130-150 years old. It helps you feel young when you can open a wine that is older than you. Or even two to three times older than you. #wine

Buwei lived in Cambridge, MA when she wrote the first edition of this book which was published in 1945.

I thought it was excellent, complex and delicious, and I didn't detect any issues due to its age. I've also heard people say en rama doesn't age well, but this Sherry seems to prove them wrong.

Tonight, going to drink a Vintage Sherry, the Valdespino Manzanilla La Especial En Rama de Anada 2015. Only 2800 bottles were produced. Will enjoy it with a tasty dish of Cod. #wine #sherry

Back around 2007-2008, I stumbled on a wine shop with 6 bottles of 1964 Gonzalez Byass Vintage Oloroso. I bought 2. A year later, I returned to the shop. They still had 4 bottles. I bought 2 more. Returned a year later, and they still had the last 2, which I bought.

The solera of the Sherry I will open soon started in the 18th century. But its average age is only 130-150 years old.

Not really true. The key is the “average age” of the Sherry. A Sherry that is an “average age” of 50 years old, has plenty of Sherry that is around 50 years old or so. It also has smaller amounts of Sherry that are older, maybe even 100 years old or so, as well as some younger ones.
