Good question. I’d also ask if we need to jump all the way from crappy bus service to dedicated tram lines in one go. What about dedicated BRT lanes to prove viability first? Is just so much money, I love tram lines but I also like not over spending tax dollars.

Good thought. When the risk math doesn’t work for private companies, it’s time to consider getting public entities involved. The lot is a prime location and it can’t be just left like this forever.

There must be ways to make it less of a money pit, financially speaking, regardless of who owns it.

That begs the question “why should we only have slower safer streets near schools?”

Maybe we should be reexamining our regular speed limits and just start enforcing them with these cameras. If the speeds are too high for schools, maybe they are too high for the whole community?

Regarding NPCs, as Musk references them, often don’t even “advance the story”. He is talking about simulated people who have a few prescripted lines that mostly just exist to populate the world and make it look more real. Players of grand theft auto enjoy mowing them over for laughs.

It’s great to see traffic measures that prioritize people outside cars for a change. It would be even better to see physical infrastructure that prevented the speeding in the first place though, but at least this is a start.

If only schools provided secure bike storage then kids could bike home from school too!

It seems wrong that it is illegal to pick or transplant trilliums but perfectly fine to bulldoze over them in Ontario. Developers should be required to save the plants when building, it's not too much to ask for our provincial flower I don't think.
