24.09.2025 01:15 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Now you have me thinking of neighborhood sized arcologies surrounded by accessible parks and nature as urbanismโs final form
14.09.2025 16:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I hope this additional revenue windfall will mean we donโt need a tax rate increase next year!
03.09.2025 03:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0blood.ca with large banner saying "who's saving who" but with a petty orange "M" written in manually over the picture making the second "who" into a "whom".
While scheduling an appointment to donate blood on blood.ca, my grammar eye suddenly started to twitch. Is the word "WHOM" officially dead in the English language? Can we bring it back?
For that matter, is grammar still a thing in general or am I just behind the times as usual?
Good question. Iโd also ask if we need to jump all the way from crappy bus service to dedicated tram lines in one go. What about dedicated BRT lanes to prove viability first? Is just so much money, I love tram lines but I also like not over spending tax dollars.
15.08.2025 20:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Good thought. When the risk math doesnโt work for private companies, itโs time to consider getting public entities involved. The lot is a prime location and it canโt be just left like this forever.
There must be ways to make it less of a money pit, financially speaking, regardless of who owns it.
That begs the question โwhy should we only have slower safer streets near schools?โ
Maybe we should be reexamining our regular speed limits and just start enforcing them with these cameras. If the speeds are too high for schools, maybe they are too high for the whole community?
This is acceptable, as long as your walk was fewer than fifteen minutes. ๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐
31.05.2025 20:54 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Regarding NPCs, as Musk references them, often donโt even โadvance the storyโ. He is talking about simulated people who have a few prescripted lines that mostly just exist to populate the world and make it look more real. Players of grand theft auto enjoy mowing them over for laughs.
31.05.2025 15:07 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Itโs great to see traffic measures that prioritize people outside cars for a change. It would be even better to see physical infrastructure that prevented the speeding in the first place though, but at least this is a start.

28.05.2025 02:23 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It seems wrong that it is illegal to pick or transplant trilliums but perfectly fine to bulldoze over them in Ontario. Developers should be required to save the plants when building, it's not too much to ask for our provincial flower I don't think.

Well today this YIMBY is going to reluctantly put on his NIMBY hat. There is so much land in Kitchener that could be used more efficiently without destroying nature, there is no need to put Huron Natural Area at risk. To leave comments: calendar.kitchener.ca/default/Deta...
